Establishment:
The association was founded as the Fair Organisers Association in 1997 by representatives of companies operating in the fair and exhibition sector. Cabinet Resolution 5187, adopted in 2003, allowed the organisation to use the word “Turkish” before its name.
Purpose:
Its purpose is to create a professional discipline across the sector and to provide for the unity and cooperation of the companies in the field.
Planned Activities
Establishing and enforcing the principles of fair organisation; protecting the rights of its members; holding training meetings and seminars and making publications for its members and fair participants; helping the internationalisation of the Turkish fair organisation sector; conducting research about fair organisation and informing its members of the results; ensuring that rendered services are up to international standards; helping its members in licence and technology transfers; obtaining the opinions of its members and voicing them before relevant authorities; and contributing to the national economy by developing and enhancing fair organisation initiatives
